Case Study: Smack Apparel

Smack Apparel shirts were introduced in 1998. With a love for sports and the Smack talkin’ that goes along with it, they created clever shirts that became a must-have on nearly every college campus. Since then they have grown and expanded their brand to what it is today.


Looking to revive the brand to the popularity from when it first got started, Smack Apparel was looking for a partner to help them utilize digital marketing strategies and tactics for a strong resurrection of clever and supportive messaging for families.  


The first thing that needed to be done was an updated brand and style guide. From there, we took the new branding and built an updated eCommerce website that offered a seamless user experience where customers could easily purchase products. The site was also easy for the Smack team to manage and track their customers. In addition to their main website, SpotOn optimized products to be sold via other channels including Google Shopping, Twitter, Pinterest, Facebook and Amazon, ensuring all channels were aligned and consistent. Digital marketing tactics have also helped drive additional traffic and conversions. SpotOn also serves as an ongoing partner, creative sounding board, and marketing consulting for their general manager.
